SEESAW AND JOURNI

Introduction

- Seesaw is a classroom blog manager tool for students that can be turned into an e-portfolio. Due to its simplicity, it does not have great customization possibilities and it is the teacher who will decide how to organize it through the use of categories.

Advantages

- Ease of use by students. It has an account for families, so the educational community can be involved in the day-to-day activities of the classroom. It allows you to create a student e-portfolio and also a classroom e-portfolio in which all students can publish. Students do not need email and the teacher controls the publishing process. Finally, there is a very functional app so that students can publish directly from the Tablet or Ipad

Journi is an offline blogging application for travelers who want to record all the details of their trips and adventures around the world in the form of journal entries.

The application is designed knowing that we will mainly use it without having an Internet connection, and therefore it will save the geographical location of each entry and uploaded photograph as well to later create a nice map-journal.

In addition to publishing our own diaries and updating them step by step, we will be able to read those of our friends as long as they are public, and even receive notifications when they start traveling or when they add information about their traveling adventures both in a biography and on a map.

When we are back home or have a Wi-Fi connection available, Journi will upload all the information that we have added offline during the trip to the network, so that no data is lost and they are saved in the cloud as soon as possible. Journi has also taken into account that it is an application that will mainly be used from the mobile on trips, so it has also been optimized to consume very little battery on our device.

For now we have the service available in a web version, from which we can access the public newspapers – we will only have to register with our Facebook account or e-mail address – or through the application for iOS. All the moments of the trip can also be shared via Facebook or Twitter.
